DC's SUPERMAN/WONDER WOMAN: FUTURE'S END One-Shot
This issue had high and low points. The pacing was better than EARTH 2: FUTURE'S END and even better than CONSTANTINE: FUTURE'S END, but I still felt a little rushed. The art overall wasn't fantastic but there were some panels at the very beginning and end that were very strong. This issue felt strangely like the other FUTURE'S END I got this week, starring the Justice League. There was a twist at the end, however, that I loved, and it elevated the whole thing. I liked this better than everything that has been going on in this comic regarding DOOMED, but I still feel this book was way better earlier on.

Marvel's SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #33 (EDGE OF SPIDER-VERSE CROSSOVER)
Well, I didn't think I'd be collecting any SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN comics again, but this was really a direct continuation of EDGE OF SPIDER-VERSE which I'm enjoying very much. I still don't like the dialogue of Doc Ock's Spidey, and I am especially not a fan of his internal monologue. But I did like the way this new Multiverse-based villain has developed further in this book. And the additional Spideys elevated the book. Edge of Spider-Man is the best Spidey storyline I've read in a long time.

Marvel's EDGE OF SPIDERVERSE #2: GWEN STACY, SPIDER-WOMAN
In this exploration of Marvel's multiverse and the various spider-folk found therein, we find a world where Gwen Stacy, rather than Peter Parker, was bitten by a radioactive spider. With her father (a police captain) seeking to arrest her, and Parker's own death weighing on her soul, she comes off as a perfect female counterpart to the traditional Spider-Man. This story was very engrossing and you just got left wanting more. This book worked on nearly every level, though the pacing is a bit rushed which is to be expected in a book like this. I loved this book.

DC's MULTIVERSITY PART 2- SOCIETY OF SUPERHEROES #1
The exploration of DC's 52-part multiverse continues as the terror we met in the first part of the story indirectly threatens an Earth that is right out of World War 2. With a heroic version of Vandal Savage and a really awesome-looking Dr Fate, Earth-20 is my favorite new world so far, and the battle it has with its counterpart Earth-40 makes for some really interesting reading. The feel that this whole thing has, the cosmic dimension to it all, will make for some great blogging fodder later on. On every level, this is a great book.

DC's JUSTICE LEAGUE: FUTURE'S END One-Shot
While the overall thrust of the story wasn't terrible original (in fact the main villain, a corrupt Captain Atom, is really kind of a rip off of Dr. Manhattan), the dialogue and individual character development more than made up for it. I loved the use of Gorilla Grodd here, and they made me interested in Captain Atom in a way I have never been before. This was, by far, the best paced FUTURE'S END story so far, too. Overall, this was a good issue.
