"Do you know calculus?" Richard Feynman asked Herman Wouk. "No, I don't", said Wouk. "You should learn" Feynman responded, "it's the language God talks."

  1. At the risk of getting far outside of my knowledge of physics may I say that I disagree with Mr. Feynman. Calculus is not the language of God but our own complex language to try to understand and manipulate the creations of God.

    My example is fairly simple: God can divide by zero and gets a black hole, a thing consistent and amazing and utterly incomprehensible to our mathematics.
