DC's EARTH 2 #32
I really don't know why I collect this comic any more, or why they even include the monthly version, now that they have the weekly EARTH 2: WORLD'S END out, which honestly I just won't collect because I fundamentally oppose weekly comics (I'm not MADE of money you know). Still, it is hard for me to disconnect for these characters I've come to enjoy completely. And this issue did have some things worth commending. Of course Apokalypse has all but completely taken over Earth-2, but the heroes fight on to save lives and try to find some chance of escape. There are some noble moments and the art is good, but I've lost all sense of where the hell I'm at in the story. It is frustrating.

Marvel's ROCKET RACOON #9
Rocket gets to get a glimpse of a possible future in which he and Groot face off with the fate of Earth hanging in the balance. It is a hilarious but also poignant look at the relationship between the two characters, a relationship that defines this comic book. And that is what makes the book so darn interesting, and fun. There is a twist at the end I didn't see coming and I thoroughly enjoyed the issue.

Marvel's GUARDIANS TEAM-UP #1
As the Guardians enter Earth's atmosphere they are ambushed by a mysterious group of aliens, who all but destroy their ship. The Avengers show up and Hawkeye seemingly saves the day, but at the end everything gets twisted up. This was a good book with some funny turns. I liked the confusion the Guardians show when the new Avengers team shows up. This book is obviously meant to give us a taste of some future MARVEL UNIVERSE film action and it is a taste that leaves you wanting more.

Marvel's HULK #12
The new Doc Green Hulk faces off with a Gamma-irradiated team designed to destroy him, while also battling the evil Artificial Intelligence he inadvertently created in his quest to rid the world of Gamma-irradiated heroes and villains. The story they have going on here is really interesting, with great character developments and unexpected turns. There is this strong sense of urgency in the comic, which emanates from the main Hulk character himself. The arrival of Deadpool into the mix promises to make the next issue even more interesting.
