DC's GREEN LANTERN #35
The Lantern Corps' battle with the New Gods continues as the Green Lanterns investigate the failed experiment the New Gods perpetuated on a planet, as they tried to use the collected Lantern Rings to mutate an entire alien population into more New Gods to use against Darkseid. Meanwhile, the leaders of the New Gods discover the existence of the (possibly) true living embodiment of the Life Equation, Kyle Rayner the White Lantern. This book was simply awesome. I don't like the degree to which the lanterns seem outgunned in every encounter with the New Gods, but still, the various fights are interesting to watch, and the developing back stories are engrossing. On every level, this is a great book, except the art, which is just 'good enough'.

DC's CONSTANTINE #18
Constantine is drawn into the Earth 2 universe as he encounters Wotan who tries to use him to escape the pocket dimension within which he is trapped. The comic book jumps from the Constantine of Earth-1 to his Earth-2 counterpart, and I'm interested to see where this all goes. The pacing was a little too slow for me, but the art is good and the story has me interested.

Marvel's ROCKET RACCOON #4
The main story concludes as we learn that the person who we thought may be another Raccoon-being from Rocket's home planet turns out to be an old enemy in disguise. Just when all seems lost for Rocket, Rocket's other enemies, his ex-girlfriends, inadvertently save his hide. Hilarity ensues even as Rocket learns some important lessons about life and what it means to be a family. It all ends with a twist. Overall, this book was not as funny as previous issues, but it was still funny enough to be worth the buy and then some. I'm enjoying this book and I hope to see more.

Dark Horse Comics Action Philosopher #1
This is a kind of history lesson, trying to teach the beliefs and lives of ancient philosophers in a funny way. It is very funny and it gets a lot right, but it leaves out too much important stuff. I'm torn about this comic because the idea is unique and the execution is superb. However, I hate it when people try to communicate complex ideas or historical facts like this and get important stuff wrong, or take an ideological bent. I didn't like the mistakes made at all. So my 'overall' number is far lower than the rest of the numbers.
