It used to make sense (the idea of not repenting on earth, instead repenting in purgatory after death). But since our studies, that idea has since faded. Your concept makes way more sense. Everything good in us thrown into the heaven which is God. And this good is placed into the universe. The evil becomes dust and is gone forever.
